Thessaly Thessairen

Mother of Thane Thessairen

Grandmother of Talin Thessairen, Eran Thessairen, Tressa Thessairen, Lenna Thessairen

Great grandmother of Thess Thessairen

Once a Lesser Fae servant in the Lexiconum of House Avenloré, Thessaly was born into silence and expectation. Her role was not to question but to copy, to shelve, to listen. And yet, she questioned. She laughed. She learned. It was in those quiet margins of expectation that she met Elovain Avenloré, a scholar of wild theories and ink-stained hands — and against all warning, they fell in love.

Thessaly and Elovain young and caught in a moment

Among the The Evergild Fae, it was no sin for a noble to bed a servant. But love — real, reciprocal love — was unspoken, forbidden. When whispers began to grow around them, the family acted with swift precision. A lie was spun. A future severed. Elovain was told Thessaly had shamed herself and fled. Thessaly was told Elovain had turned from her. Neither was given the truth.

Pregnant and broken-hearted, Thessaly left The Library behind and crossed the wilds alone. She arrived in the town of Kellack Wheal, and when asked her name, she made one up: Thessairen. A name not of lineage, but of will.

In time, she raised her son Thane with quiet courage and enduring love. She taught him language, song, and the difference between stories and lies. He grew to marry a human woman, Marin, and together they built a family — Talin, Eran, Tressa, and Lenna — who know little of the legacy buried in their blood.

Thessaly’s long hair has gone white. She keeps it long, hides her ears, and speaks rarely of the past. But those who know her speak of her warmth, her wit, and the way her gaze lingers too long on the fading light of evening.

She does not regret leaving.

Only that she never had the chance to say goodbye.
